Johannes hat sich in den letzten Wochen intensiv mit der Bibel-Software Accordance beschäftigt und wird wohl bald (siehe hier) einige neue Funktionen der Version 9 vorstellen (Version 9.03 läuft stabil). Außerdem hat Johannes inzwischen weitere Module mit deutschen Texten für Accordance erstellt. Darunter ist auch die Schlachter-Bibelübersetzung von 1951.

Zwei gute Nachrichten: Noch heute soll die Version 9 der Accordance Bibel Software freigegeben werden. Die Neuerungen der Version 9 werden hier beschrieben.
Johannes hat außerdem Luthers 95 Thesen (1517) und das Augsburger Bekenntnis (1530) für Accordance aufbereitet, so dass diese Texte als Module in der Software implementiert werden können.
Nachtrag vom 16.09.2010: Die Veröffentlichung von Accordance 9 verzögert sich um einige Tage. Johannes hat unter der oben genannten Adresse weitere Module zur Verfügung gestellt.
Die Logos-Bibelsoftware für MAC steht kurz vor der Veröffentlichung. Dass es gute Gründe gibt, weiterhin mit Accordance zu arbeiten, zeigt dieses Demo über die »Scholar’s Collection«: scholars_demo_md.mov.
Timothy Jenney hat für Accordance einen Podcast über die Schriftrollen vom Toten Meer produziert. Das Video ist als Einführung gedacht und zeigt zudem, wie die Texte mit Accordance genutzt werden können.

Rubén Gómez hat eine Rezension zur aktuellen Version der Bibelsoftware Accordance geschrieben. Erstaunlich, das eine gute Software noch so viel besser werden kann. Das Urteil von Gómez fällt eindeutig aus:
Accordance Bible Software is an incredibly powerful and easy to use program, sporting a very Mac-like user interface and a rather gentle learning curve. It has been designed as a central hub for Bible study (following the study Bible metaphor) and, although it certainly excels as an scholarly tool, it is perfectly suited for general purpose Bible study.
In my opinion, it remains the best overall Bible software product available on any platform. Other packages may offer certain features not yet available in Accordance, or more modules, but all in all, lack the power, elegance and ease of use found in this program. For anyone serious about studying the biblical texts and related works, Accordance is a must-have.
